LanguageCorps offers our TESOL Certification Program in Santiago: a four-week training course that include 120+ hours of classroom time and, the most important part of any quality TESOL certificate course, at least 6 hours of Observed Teaching Practice with local EFL students.

Participants are prepared to teach English effectively in any classroom in the world. Designed for those with or without previous teaching experience, this intensive training program includes instruction from experienced trainers, classroom observation of professional teachers, and teaching practice with language learners. Participants learn how to lead classes using the communicative approach, teaching students to use real-world language for real-world situations. Upon graduation, trainees will be able to teach adult ESL/EFL classes of different levels, feel comfortable choosing the right material to teach a given class, and complement their classes with audio-visual aids.

The Training Center’s modern facilities include 17 fully equipped classrooms, central air-conditioning and heating, a library of teaching materials, plus access to fax, phone, e-mail and the Internet. Trainees have the full support of the administrative staff, who can help new teachers get settled in Santiago by recommending medical services, housing, restaurants, activities, and explanations of how things work in the city. The Center can also arrange language-tutoring exchanges, trading your English classes for Spanish instruction. We highly recommend this tactic!

The Santiago TESOL Certification Program Fee is US$1,995. Accommodations are available with host families near the Training Center for an additional cost of US$480.
